look for the girl with a broken smile.

Hi.

lovely-scarlettannegray:

How’re you?

Chilled, and yourself? Did you find out the sex of the baby?

  • TAGGING: Charlie and Tony
  • LOCATION: A playground near her house
  • TIME: Wednesday, 12:48 AM
  • NOTES: Kay, here’s the starter c:

Tony stood up off the bed and stretched, looking over at the digital alarm clock he had. He hadn’t been able to get a decent night’s sleep ever since he’d moved back to Canada. He hated it here, he wasn’t going to deny that, but Effy was here. His little sister whom witnessed him getting hit by a bus and had had to take care of him since then. The least he could do was just be there for her. Probably didn’t even need him. Well, too late now. He was here and she’d have to deal with her big brother’s hovering.

The tall boy out the door, not really bothering to do anything about his appearance. He wasn’t exactly planning on going out out. Nor was he planning on seeing someone this late at night. Or, early in the morning. Whatever, however you wanted to look at it. Once he was out the door, he balled his fingers up into fists and shoved them into his front jean’s pockets as a gust of wind shot and spiked him in the face. “Shit,” he squeaked, shaking the hair out of his icy crystal blue eyes so he was able to see.

Finally, after a minute or two of walking, thinking, and constant attacks from the wind, he found his way stumbling into a playground. “Wow,” he murmured quietly Though he didn’t know why. There was little to no chance of someone being outside at this time of night, so any point to his whispering? There was none. It’d just been forever since he’d been on a playground. Suddenly hearing humming coming from another area by the monkey bars, his head whipped over to see the petite blonde girl he’d gone clubbing with not too long ago. “Fucking hell,” he said with a chuckle as he walked over to her.

When footsteps rang in her ears, Charlie didn’t believe it. When they got closer, she stopped humming, and instead groped with her eyes closed for a stick. She thought that if she kept her eyes closed, she was safe. It was a child-like move, but Charlie felt more calm, not knowing what to expect. She bit hard on her bottom lip, realizing this might have been a stupid, STUPID, idea, especially at this time of night. “D-D-Don’t try anything,” Charlie mumbled softly, though making sure he could hear a bit of defense. She felt stupid, however, when the voice sounded familiar to her. She opened her eyes slowly, noting for the first time that the stranger was very, very tall.

Charlie traveled up the body, and finally to the face. She cocked her head at the familiar blue eyes and bit of a smirk. She put a name to the face and just like that, a bright smile broke out over her features. “HULLO, TONY DEAR!” She squealed, sighing a loud breath of relief. She laughed softly at herself, then swung on the bars again. Well, if any other time was good enough to talk, it was now. Charlie motioned to the bars.

“Can you hang?” She teased playfully, smirking. She couldn’t put her finger on it, but this town was quiet, way too quiet. Not once had Charlie talked to a single other person in her first days here. She only knew of Scarlett and Tony. Speaking of Scarlett, she had to remember to ask the sex of the baby. She got lost in her thoughts now, forgetting her company for a moment. Charlie raised her green, distant eyes to him again, then snapped out of it. “Oh, HI!” She grinned, waving.

Hi.

lovely-scarlettannegray:

Yo.

Playground Blues || Tony

Charlie could see the whole night sky, even though it wasn’t REALLY night any longer. Her green eyes lit up as the stars seemed brighter upside down. And even though they always said, whoever the hell THEY was, that hanging upside down could be dangerous, Charlie didn’t care. It was her thing, ever since pre-k. She was the monkey, of her class. And though a lot of them didn’t worship it, they found it curious that she could stay in the same position for awhile. But the truth was, and it was a secret that she, herself, and only her knew, was that hanging upside down, the blood pouring to her brain, actually helped to think.

Charlie closed her eyes, shutting out the darkness. The only light came from the park lights illuminating her body. She was the only one out this late, she could tell. If anyone else was out, they were probably poor hobos, or hookers. Or maybe even someone as insane, as nuts, as her. But sometimes Charlie liked to be spontaneous, go out of her comfort zone and take a step back. She was just a kid, after all. Being nineteen didn’t mean she had to grow up. And it wasn’t her job to grow up like she had. Charlie shook her head, but there wasn’t anything she could do about that now.

The blonde swung a little from the monkey bars, then stopped and shifted so her legs wrapped more comfortably around the bar. Her shirt fell down just a little, showing off her tummy. She sighed softly, but it was taken away by the chill of the wind. A song formulated in her mind, and Charlie began humming, serenading the night air as she relaxed.

C l u b b i n g! || Tony

-tstonem:

Tony bit his lips in an attempt to hold back his laughter when he heard Charlie obviously having some difficulty with something inside. He also did his best to push away any dirty thoughts. But, then again, that was just Tony. He had a dirty mind and had no problem with admitting it. When she finally opened the door, he smirked at the sight of her. Just like he had pointed out when they both began talking, she was gorgeous. Absolutely so.

Tony laughed when she pulled him inside and was going on about an apology. “Hey, it’s okay, babes. What doesn’t kill you makes you strong, right?” he teased with an impish grin as he unzipped his jacket a bit. It’s not like he was going to take it off or anything, but being inside the heated home made it a little unnecessary to be wearing a heavy-ish coat inside.

Before Tony knew it, she was rushing into the kitchen to grab something. Damn, she never rested, did she? Well, she had energy, there was no denying that. Taking the tea gladly, he undid the cap and took a sip of it. “Shit,” he exclaimed with a laugh. “That’s hot,” he said, wiping the bit of tea that had been splotched on his upper lip. “But it’s fucking delicious,” he admitted, taking another cautious sip. It was tea. It was expected to be hot, especially when it was just taken out of a microwave. Yeah, he had enough brains to easily pass college, but common sense was something he was sorely lacking. “Ready to go?” he asked, securing the cap back onto the thermos after taking a few more swigs.

Charlie pocketed her cell phone and a pair of gloves. She threw a look over at him upon hearing a curse fly from his lips. She laughed a little, nodding to confirm that yes, it was pretty fucking hot indeed. “Sorry, I guess I forgot to mention that bit,” the blonde smirked playfully, then smiled sincerely as he complimented her tea. She had learned it from her mom, growing up, and it was her only saving grace that she could actually cook somewhat. She turned several times, knowing something was missing but not quite coming to what. Charlie gave herself a once-over. “Hmmm…” She turned to him, holding her arms out, tilting her head curiously.

“Does it look like I’m missing anything? You know, I don’t know, it’s stupid to ask. Ah, forget it. But it seems so big, though. I wish, ugh…” Charlie faded to ramble to herself for a moment, a bad habit of hers. She was a horrible talker, someone who rambled on about something without realizing it. The blonde pushed her hair back behind her shoulders, sighing before internally giving up the battle to remember. Her memory span always failed her. She knew she’d regret forgetting, but Tony probably had had enough of waiting.

Charlie noticed him testing out the tea once more and shook her head, laughing again before running her fingers through her hair and holding out her arm for him. “Ready as I’ll ever be!” She replied cheerfully, flashing him a reassuring smile and walking out the door with him.

C l u b b i n g! || Tony

-tstonem:

Tony pulled on a black and dark pink striped shirt along with black jeans. He knew he didn’t exactly look his best, but it’s not like he was trying to impress Charlie completely and totally. At least… not to his knowledge. It was whatever, though. Looking in the mirror he had in his room, he smirked. Fuck, I look good, he thought cockily as he fixed his hair a bit. And obviously tons of other girls thought so, too. Not that that made his ego grow a considerable amount each time someone pointed it out or anything. Bounding down the stairs, he grabbed his coat and zipped it up. Shit, he thought as he noticed his keys weren’t on the table near the door. Stuffing his hand in his jacket pocket, he finally fiddled around enough to find his keys. “Good,” he mumbled.

As he walked out the door and entered his car, he glanced down at his phone message that contained her address. “Oh. I know where that is,” he realized with a smirk as she flipped his phone closed. Usually when he drove, his mind was blank; because, contrary to popular belief, Tony actually did have a brain that wasn’t always focused on sex. He actually thought about where the hell he was attempting to travel to. But this time around, his mind was racing. Thoughts of what club they were going to go to. Would he be free to dance with anyone he wanted to, or was this more of a… date? Fuck, he didn’t even think about that possibility.

Getting so lost in his thoughts, he noticed that he had passed her house multiple times. That’s what he got for being a dumbass and not paying attention to the road. It resulted in him going around in circles. Turning the car around, he made his way back to her place. Once he arrived, he parked his car in the driveway and got out, making his way to the door. He pulled his coat tightly around his body with one hand as he knocked on the door with the other, announcing his arrival. Fuckin’ hell, it was cold out.

FINALLY Charlie started curbing some yogurt, but as the a knock rang out around the empty house, she almost made it splatter on the floow as she jumped up, swinging around and pushing in her chair. She froze, recollecting her thoughts before throwing picking up the yogurt and eating a few more spoonfuls, the blonde threw the yogurt away and proceeded towards the door, grabbing up her boots and shoving her foot in one, hopping from left to right. On the second try, she fell onto the couch. “Oomph!” Charlie snatched the spoon from her mouth, threw it behind her, and stood up slowly. She strolled over to the door, took a deep breath, and opened it.

“Hi,” Charlie breathed after her little exercise. As soon as she opened the door, a gust of icy wind blew back her hair. She widened her eyes. “Holy hell, were you out there in that?! I’m SO sorry, I took forever and it’s freezing nuts and bolts!” She felt horrible, he must have been freezing by now. Charlie looked around quickly, quietly humming to remember something and she pulled him in gently, giving him the sign to give her a second.

Hurriedly, Charlie walked to her kitchen, looking around before grabbing her thermos of tea from the microwave and walking back, handing it to him. “Warning, it might not be amazing and Hall of Fame worthy, but it’ll help I guess,” she sighed, smiling before grabbing her coat and pulling it on.
